Will they be a third series of Sherlock?

Benedict stated that a third series could be “quite hard” to run, given the ending of the current series. However...

After the airing of the third episode (the 15th of january 2012), 

- Steven Moffat tweeted: "Yes of course there’s going to be a third series - it was commissioned at the same time as the second. Gotcha!.”
- Mark Gatiss tweeted: “Gotcha! And of course there’ll be a third series! It was commissioned at the same time as series two!!”

- Sherlock tweeted: "One would have to be painfuly dumb to believe a 8 million viewers hit was to be ended."

- Watson tweeted: "The arrogance."
